You don't have to figure it all out alone

People come to therapy for many different reasons. Sometimes it's a specific life event, and other times it's a growing sense that something doesn't feel right.

I regularly work with people experiencing:

  • Anxiety and overthinking
  • Stress and burnout
  • Low self-worth and self-criticism
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Emotional overwhelm
  • People-pleasing and difficulty setting boundaries
  • Feeling disconnected from themselves
  • Loss of confidence or direction

Therapy offers a space to better understand these experiences and begin responding to them differently. If any of this sounds familiar, you're in the right place.

How I work.

My approach is collaborative, practical, and focused on real change. I offer a space where you can slow things down and understand what's going on beneath the surface — but we don't just stay there.

We work together to help you recognise patterns, make sense of your thoughts and emotions, and start responding differently in your day-to-day life. I balance support with gentle challenge, helping you feel understood while also moving things forward.

The aim isn't just to talk — it's to help you build clarity, confidence, and trust in yourself.

My Story

I didn't come into this work just through study — I came into it through my own experience. There was a time in my life where I struggled deeply with anxiety and felt overwhelmed, stuck, and unsure of myself. Working with a psychologist was a turning point for me.

That experience stayed with me. It showed me the impact that the right support can have, and it's what led me to train as a psychotherapist. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy from PCI College, and I'm a member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP).

I'm naturally down-to-earth and straightforward in how I work. I won't overcomplicate things or use unnecessary jargon — I'll help you make sense of what's going on in a clear and practical way.

What clients say.

My experience with Tommy has been unlike any other counselling I've done before. I'd tried a few times with different counsellors over the years and always took flight once things got heavy — I never felt like that with Tommy, even during the harder sessions. We covered so much: health anxiety, navigating difficult co-parenting dynamics, anger and shame at my childhood self, the loneliness as a new mother I'd never previously acknowledged. All of it was met with unflinching kindness. I can't believe I am where I am mentally right now — and I know I wouldn't be here if I hadn't reached out to Tommy.

Marie

Tommy is fantastic at what he does. He seems incredibly genuine and is rooting for you when you're having the chats. His approach is so relaxed and he puts you at ease. He has made me realise what is important to me specifically, and make it a priority and make the choices to help me accomplish it.

Roisin

I've learned to be kinder to myself and see things from a different perspective that I probably wouldn't have realised on my own. Each call has gotten a lot easier for me to open up — that's down to Tommy's empathy, support, and the way he challenges you in a safe manner.

Pam

It really has been a life-changing experience. Everything I've learned through working with Tommy about my beliefs, or why I think the way I do, has supported me in all aspects of my life. It really has been the best gift I've given myself committing to my weekly sessions.
